- A Canadian citizen
- At least 18 years of age on Election Day
- A resident of the Municipality of Dysart et al
- An owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant
- Not otherwise prohibited by law from voting
Eligibility Requirements
How to Register to Vote
You may already be registered to vote. If not just visit your local municipal office with your ID. First, confirm you're on the voters list. If not, fill out a simple registration form with your name and address. Once completed, you'll be all set to cast your vote on election day.
The phone number at the Municipal Office is 705-457-1740 . They are located at 135 Maple Avenue in Haliburton and are open from Monday to Friday from 8:30-4:30. The link to their website is here.
VOTING METHODS
Dysart electors will be able to vote by internet or telephone for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election. There will be no paper ballots.
Eligible electors can cast their votes between October 16, 2026 and Election Day (October 26, 2026).
Voter Information Letters will be mailed to every eligible person shown on the Voters’ List by September 28th, 2026.

The Dysart Municipal Office located at 135 Maple Avenue will also have digital voting stations available with a secure internet connection during the advance vote period (October 16-26). See the Voting Accommodations section for more information.
